Confession time; I didn’t take that many photos in New York. I was soaking up all of our New York moments. They were never ending and consumed every part of my psyche.  The saying is true, New York never sleeps, and neither did I for quite a few nights, as the buzz and excitement of the city consumed me. The architecture is amazing, to say the least.  We walked blocks and blocks each day and I was in a constant state of wonderment the entire time.  Old, new, small, big; so much history and detail in each building with each one appearing unique and each area having it’s own style and feeling. It goes without saying that the big name buildings are mind-blowing.  They are truly magnificent.

For me though, the beauty was in the detail of the old brick buildings.  I was amazed by them as I just couldn’t imagine how long they took to construct, or the back-breaking labour that it entailed.  I found them fascinating, the real New York.
